Article Marketing And The Eye Of The Spider

Ever wondered how internet marketing worked? How does anybody who is into internet marketing inform his potential customers that he exists? And how do customers who are looking for something specific, know where to look for it? Given the sheer profusion of pages on the internet, this can be a herculean task for both the buyer as well as the seller.

Internet marketing is all about catching the ‘eye of the spider’. ‘Spiders’ are ingenious little devices that search all the pages of the World Wide Web looking for those pages that are most relevant to the search term that the internet user has entered. Not only do spiders find the appropriate pages, but they also rank these pages in order of relevance, making it easier for the user to find what he is looking for. Goes without saying, anybody looking for something would first click on the page that is right on top of the list. If he finds what he is looking for, that’s it- he looks no further. It is only if he does not find what he wants that he will then go down the list of pages that the spiders have ranked in decreasing order of relevance. The key then, is to make sure your website is ranked right up there above all others that have the same keyword.

Here are a few tips on how you can use article marketing to catch the eye of that all-important spider and get your website ranked right up there, where it can be seen by millions of users.

Make sure your article content is original

Spiders never forget! They memorize every article they have ever crawled over. If they come across a similar article during subsequent searches they immediately pick it out as a plagiarized copy. Instead of the brownie points you would expect to win for featuring valuable content on your web site, your web site would get penalized for featuring copied content. It is critical to make sure that your article content is always original.

Post your original articles on your own website first

By posting your original content on your own website before distributing it to other sites, you stake a claim to your article, and prevent those spiders from penalizing it for duplication. Also, when the spider picks up your article during a search, if the article is posted on your website, it will lead the reader straight to your site circumventing the round-about route.

Embed those keywords and keyword phrases

Using appropriate keywords and keyword phrases throughout your article while maintaining optimum keyword density, is critical. Proper keywords used correctly helps spiders index your website and leverages your search engine optimization. It is important to remember that proper usage of keywords and keyword phrases is critical. Keywords that are randomly placed throughout the article, known as keyword stuffing, will only help get your article disqualified and penalized by search engines. And if your article that is unintelligently keyword stuffed, does get past the search engines, your site visitors will be none too impressed with the quality of your articles and will almost certainly turn away. Once this happens, it is almost impossible to lure them back again.

Increase your link popularity

Spiders determine the popularity and relevancy of your website by the quality and quantity of inbound hyperlinks from other websites to yours. Include an “About the Author” section with a link to your website in every author resource box at the end of your article. It is obligatory for other websites to include this section if they decide to publish your article on their site. This in itself will guarantee you unlimited free publicity. If your article is informative and interesting, and is placed on several sites, you would automatically get plenty of links pointing back to your site. This is guaranteed to catch the eye of the spider and increase your search engine ranking.

Maximize your exposure through article distribution sites

By submitting your articles to large distributions sites such as GoArticles.com or eZine.com you increase the chances of your article being repurposed by other webmasters who are continuously seeking quality content. This can have a kind of viral effect and send a continuous stream of significant traffic towards the direction of your articles.

Persistence pays

Writing just one article, no matter how good, is not enough to get you the desired results. Catching the eye of the spider takes time. To reap the benefits of article marketing requires time and patience as well as the unswerving commitment to generate and disseminate good quality articles consistently. This is what will create a valuable footprint in your field of expertise and help increase the number of back-links to your site.

Maintain that word count

Most websites will only accept and distribute articles that meet their specified article requirements with regard to minimum and maximum length. As a rule, articles should be no more than 500 words and no less than 300 words.

Group Coaching: How To Take Advantage Of The Numbers

Group Coaching: Take Advantage Of The Numbers

Coaching on the Internet is one thing that many Internet marketers are turning to. There are various options available to you when it comes to finding someone to help you build your business. In this article we want to talk about group coaching and the benefits of having more than one coach to work with.

1. You need marketing help. Starting an Internet business is something most people have no background in. This means you are going to need a lot of help marketing your business.

Marketing really starts with choosing a niche, domain name, website hosting and finding products to sell. Then you will need help learning how to promote your new business online.

In reality you should be spending 90% of your time just on advertising and marketing when you first start out. Because there are so many ways to promote an Internet business having a coach to give you tips on what works is invaluable.

Group coaching is even better because you can pull on the strengths of the various coaches. You will also find several that you feel more comfortable working with which may not be the case if you work with just one coach.

2. You need personal development. You need to have the personal skills it takes to build an Internet business. Self improvement is one area that most of us can do better on.

This includes everything from goal setting to developing a better self image. Generally your business will never outgrow your personal growth and coaching can help you improve yourself.

3. You need financial advice. Most Internet coaches do not spend a lot of time on this, but from a business standpoint it is worth knowing a few things.

For example trying to build an Internet business 100% on free advertising methods generally does not work. Coaches can help you establish a realistic budget for your Internet business based on your personal finances.

4. You need a support system. Most group coaching programs will have a members only forum. It is good to interact with the coaches as well as other Internet marketers similar to yourself.

Social networking has helped make the Internet a smaller world, but it can still get kind of lonely sitting in front of your computer. Having a support system with coaches and other Internet marketers can help overcome that.

These are a few tips on why there is strength in numbers when it comes to group coaching. One of the fastest ways to become more successful is having people to turn to when you have questions on your Internet business.

Are You Going To Keep Doing Things You Don’t Want To Do?

What are you doing this week that you actually don’t want to do?

Clues are when you hear yourself saying ‘I have to …’, I must …’, ‘I should …’. This is the language of reluctance, obligation and coercion. It may seem that this is inevitable but is it?

The games we play in our heads can tie us in knots. Can you imagine a hippopotamus down at the river wallowing in the mud but not really wanting to? Or a lioness getting miserable because she must hunt? We humans get stuck; we become overwhelmed; we procrastinate.

Consider just one statistic – more than two-thirds of people don’t enjoy the work they do. That’s a lot of people! The internal tension caused by repeatedly doing things while not wanting to be doing them creates stress, drains energy and is ultimately destructive.

There are, of course, enlightened folk who always want to do what they do. This is something the rest of us can aspire to. How do they do this?

Put simply, they make it a matter of choice. They switch what they do into a choice they make, rather than a choice that is made for them. The locus of control is with them, not somewhere else. Control over what we do and how we do it – autonomy – is in itself a powerful self-motivator.

Here’s an example: Glen drags himself to work each morning telling himself that he must do it otherwise the mortgage company will make him and his family homeless. No wonder he feels pretty sick about the whole thing. He’ll probably blame the mortgage company, or his employer or the political system or something else.

To turn this completely round, he could make the choice himself. He could decide that he chooses to go to work to provide for his family. The critical difference when he does this is that now the responsibility lies with him.

Of course, this new perspective won’t change the content of his job – tasks and colleagues remain the same – but the locus of control is now his. This change in his frame of mind will in itself be a positive step forward. And crucially, now he is aware he is making a choice, he can decide over time whether he is happy with that choice or whether he would like to make a different choice.

So how can this work for you?

Let’s go back to my original question – what are you doing that you actually don’t want to do? Take one item from the list – say X – then follow these steps:

1. Hear yourself say ‘I must/I should/I need to/I ought to/I have to/ do X

2. Check the physical feelings you get from this (people often report a tightening of certain muscles, a sinking feeling, a heaviness)

3. Now reword the statement from step 1 so it becomes ‘I choose to do X because …’ and fill in the best reason you can think of (if you come up with no reason at all, why does doing X matter?)

4. Check again the physical reaction you get and feel the difference from step 2

5. Go ahead with X for now on the basis of your choice from step 3

6. Most importantly, stay open to better choices. Because you have signalled to your brain that you are making a choice, it will come back with potentially better choices over the next few days.

Are You Getting Traffic From Stumbleupon

How To Get Traffic From Stumbleupon

You don’t want to continuously purchase traffic via StumbleUpon that should never be your ultimate goal.

Instead, you should utilize the advertising services there to jumpstart your blog traffic with the goal being to encourage Stumblers to vote for you, which will in turn, push other visitors to your site, for free.

Some bloggers fail to do this and end up paying for traffic longer than they would need to, if they just focused on creating a useful blog.

Even though the advertising costs are lower than typical PPC campaigns, you can save a ton of cash if you make your blog worthy of a stumble.

Set your blog in motion and watch the traffic continue to pour in, day after day!

Catch Them Before The Next Stumble

Since stumblers are similar to television channel surfers, you might not be able to hold their attention for long, no matter how compelling or interesting your content may be.

To get the most out of their visit, offer a subscription form on your site where you offer a free report, eCourse, something – Anything – to encourage them to leave their information.

That way, you can work on growing your list as well as growing your site.

Your subscription box should be placed in a highly visible area of your blog. You should also utilize graphics, or compelling headlines to make sure it’s noticed.

Take Baby Steps

Don’t spend a ton of cash on your first StumbleUpon ad campaign, instead, test your ad copy with just a small spend. Once you see it working, you can increase your daily budget.

Be sure to pay attention to the available stats to determine how many people voted for your site and continuously tweak it for the best performance you can get out of it.

Testing isn’t fun but it’s important because you want to get the most votes you can.

Once you are consistently receiving votes, you will start receiving a flood of organic traffic and when that happens, be prepared to pause your campaign before you purchase traffic for nothing.

Things To Avoid

Some bloggers believe that sending Stumblers to the very front page of their blog is the best choice, when advertising with StumbleUpon.

I would suggest that instead; create a landing page specifically for each campaign. If Stumblers have to seek out solid content, they’ll be gone before you know it, assuming it’s a paid advertisement or sales pitch.

Solution:
Choose a thread or page that carefully relates to your specific group of visitors (using categories and demographics), and choose a post that you feel is absolutely compelling.

Make it spicy, entertaining, controversial, whatever you have to do to make that page stick and become ‘viral’.

Also remember to add your sites to StumbleUpon by creating an ‘alias’ account and Stumbling onto your own pages, after first checking to see if they have already been Stumbled.

Personal Growth Is Critical For Success

Personal Growth Is Crucial For Success

We hunger for success. More often than not, when we envision it, we immediately think wealth, respect, popularity. While these things are indeed associated with success, many of us need to be reminded that personal growth is the key to success, and not the other way around. Yes, our success can bring growth too, but before we can achieve it, we need to cultivate the right habits, the right mindset and attitude, and arm ourselves with the necessary skills and knowledge.

How do you feel now about your personal growth? Whether you are getting a little anxious at your lack of advancement or you simply feel the need to move ahead, then maybe it’s time to rethink your actions (or inaction).

To make things much simpler, I suggest you focus on only 2 things: mindset and knowledge.

Mindset It’s all in the mind, they say. If you’re at the period in your life right now where you feel too tied up or out of time, slow down and refocus.

Know this: you can succeed. And repeat this to yourself: “I know I can succeed.” Perhaps the most important realization that an individual can make in their quest for success is that personal growth is key to success. There is no single formula for this since we all have different goals and priorities and our strengths and weaknesses vary. So understand that personal success starts with believing in oneself and focusing on the right things.

Any personal growth coach will tell you that focus is one of the keys to success, and with focus comes the importance of affirmations. Know your strengths and weaknesses and affirm them, write down your areas of improvement, and develop a more confident and positive attitude. Once you have this mindset, it will be easier to travel the path to success.

Knowledge, Knowledge is power. Recognizing that personal growth is the key to success requires the sharpening of one’s skills, painstaking research, constant practice and the ability to sift through the massive information that’s available for consumption today.

It is also very effective to help other people to increase your personal growth by teaching them what you know. If you want to really learn something, the best technique to understand it at the deepest level is to teach and share it them. By doing this, you not only add value to your knowledge; you also add value to the lives of others.

Another important part of knowing that personal growth is the key to success is being gentle to yourself and recognizing that you have shortcomings. Use this knowledge to better yourself and seek ways to improve.

Once you have the right mindset and equip yourself with the skills and knowledge, you can be confident enough to pursue the path to success and reap the rewards of all your hard work.

Developing Good Landing Page that Goes Well with the Email Newsletter

The landing page is usually what customers see first when they visit your website. This is your groundwork of a strong email marketing campaign. Do it badly and your business collapses; do it well and draw new customers. Many marketers tend to focus too much on creating great email newsletters that they neglect about the landing page. This shouldn’t be the case.

The landing page is the key to generating sales. When it starts to feel dated or simply don’t work, subscribers will be turned-off. Moreover, if the landing page isn’t well-designed, don’t contain convincing information, and doesn’t contain a clear call to action you will lose out in the end. The potential of your business is not being utilised to its full potential.

Below are some key areas you need to focus on.

Make Sure All Links on Your Email Works – your email marketing campaign might be compelling but if the links don’t work, then what’s the use? Before sending the newsletter to subscribers, make sure that every single link works.

Consistency with Email – since it’s the email that draws the initial interest, it is vital to make sure that the page they’ll be redirected to contains the same message. Aside from having consistency in the message, the tone and feel of the website should ideally be similar as well. For example, if you used a crisp and minimalist design in the email header, don’t direct people to a page with a lot of swirly design and pink colors.

Useful Information – when you make a “promise” to provide subscribers with the information they’re looking for in the email, make sure to deliver. Follow through on the landing page. That way, subscribers will know that your email marketing campaign is not just a sales pitch that will trick them into buying. Similarly if you’re promoting a special offer on the email, the landing page should contain information on how they can buy.

Clear Call to Action – most likely, there is a call to action on your email. This encouraged subscribers to visit the landing page in the first place. But don’t stop there. Email marketing is especially effective when you tell subscribers exactly what they need to do in order to benefit from your product or service. Whether it’s a simple “Click Here” message or “Purchase the Report”, it is important to include a call to action on the landing page.

Making email marketing campaigns work for you shouldn’t be that hard. But the following ingredients should be met in order to make it work for you.

How To Get Rid Of Stress Before It Starts

How To Get Rid Of Stress Before It Begins

Stress is the leading cause of many ailments in today’s busy world. Often times we are under a great deal of stress, but don’t realize it until it manifests itself in the form of high blood pressure, headaches, or worse. It can be helpful to have a quit trick handy to defeat stress before it starts.

This is dandy if you are a self employed billionaire and can do whatever you want, but chances are you aren’t. Most of us are just struggling to make ends meet, and have to put up with a lot of aggravation without much choice due to our current situation. What do we do in that situation?

First, it’s important to realize that we don’t ever absolutely have to do something. If you think of terms of doing something because you have to, it can become incredibly stressful. It can help to imagine the ultimate benefit you are going to receive for whatever it is you are doing. You have to withstand the daily rant of your boss so you can get a pocketful of money on Friday. You have to suffer through a long drive every day so you can afford to live where you live. When you train to think in terms of actions and benefits, you start to gain more power over your situation. We aren’t slaves captured and whipped until we drop. We make our choices, we choose our actions, and we have to learn to live with them.

Another idea that can help is that of expectation. When we are filled with expectations, these are translated into “shoulds” of how other people ought to behave, or what we “should” receive. But when we base our expectations only on our experience, and not on some imagined idea of how people should behave in an ideal world, we won’t be disappointed. It also helps to keep this “realistic expectation” as neutral as possible. Don’t expect free candy from everybody you see, but don’t expect that everybody will steal your wallet given half the chance.

One powerful way to build in this positive expectation is to negotiate everything before hand. When your boss gives you a task at work, be very clear what he or she is asking you to do, and get as much clarification as possible. Or when negotiate with yourself before you leave for work in the morning. Decide what time you’ll get there if traffic is light, and what time you’ll get there if traffic is heavy, and how you’ll react either way. That way you won’t be surprised either way.

The largest creator of stress is the feeling that we are not in control and at the mercy of our environment. If we don’t expect anything in particular, or we don’t have a list in our heads of how others should behave, then we won’t be disappointed, and our stress will naturally decrease.

Stop Blaming Your Past For Your Current Situation

Many people take an unpleasant situation and let it rule the way they look at life. The company downsizes and you were one that was cut. Your spouse cheats and leaves you. Someone you thought to be a dear friend turns out to be not such a true friend. When these things happen many spend their time blaming the other person for having done wrong to them.

“If my boss hadn’t fired me I wouldn’t have lost my house.” “If my friend hadn’t turned out to be such a terrible person I wouldn’t be so depressed.” If my spouse hadn’t cheated I would not be so lonely.”

Instead of looking at the situation as a turning point in their lives, people tend to use it as a pity party on themselves. I will not belittle the pain. The pain you feel is real and it is expected. But the point is that you can decide to rise above the situation.

Instead of deciding to focus on what went wrong and the loss, decide to focus on where the road ahead will lead you. Maybe you’ve lost your job and finances were tight to begin with and you don’t know which direction to turn. Was that your dream job? Was that your dream boss? Is there something that you’ve always wanted to do with your life, but were too busy working that job to go after your dreams?

Maybe there’s a person that needed your attention that you would have never noticed if that friend hadn’t let you down. And maybe that friend didn’t intend to hurt you. There are times in people’s lives where they see no other way. They may be suffering on the inside and you don’t know it.

People don’t always do things to hurt us, as we often think. There are times when people need to do things to help themselves, but never intend or want to hurt someone else. Step back and take a look at the situation. You may never figure it out, but at least give them the benefit of the doubt that there is something that maybe you don’t even know that they are suffering from themselves.

Divorce is a difficult situation all its own. You can spend your life trying to figure out what went wrong or why you were hurt or you can decide to get back up and live again. You can decide to spend your time blaming the other person for a bad marriage or you can decide to rise above it and find a new direction in life.

Maybe there is a dream career you didn’t go after because you had no need to work. Maybe there’s a person out there that you’ve never met that’s been waiting on you their whole life and everything will line up and you’ll find you’ve never been so happy.

The point is if we spend too much time living in the past and blaming the situations that have ‘done us wrong,’ we may miss the future we secretly long for. Close the doors to the past and walk forward. Open your eyes and your heart to what life has to hold for you today.

You’ve been given a chance to open yourself up to what life has to offer you. Decide to forgive, to release yourself from the pain and to move forward in life. Go after the life you deserve, the life that’s waiting for you to live it.

How To Tell If Someone Is Lying To You

How To Tell If He Or She Is Lying To You

Having the ability to tell when somebody is lying is a fantastic skill to have. Some are just naturals at this, but believe it or not, it is a relatively simple skill set to learn. In fact, it is so simple, that by the time you finish reading this article, nobody will ever be able to lie to you again. There are some general ways to tell, and some person specific ways to tell.

The general specific ways are various, and vague. If you can, it helps to look for three or four different indications before you accuse the person of lying outright, or decide not to take them at their word.

Face Touching

When people touch any part of their face while speaking, it can be an indication that they are lying. Usually they will touch their eyes, their nose, or their lips. These are usually rapid, subconscious movements. Be careful, though, as this may also be an indication that they are simply nervous. Another indication of lying is excessive blinking. In general, folks tend to blink more frequently. This happens when they are in a situation where repeated eye touching would be inappropriate. A politician giving a speech, or testifying under oath, for example.

Legs And Arm Crossing

When people cross their legs and their arms, it can be taken as a sign of being defensive. Especially if they are standing, with their legs cross near the ankle, and their arms crossed in front of them. This can be an indication of lying, or it could mean that they find what they are saying extremely distasteful. You’ll need to take the context into consideration.

Eye Contact

When people lie, it is very hard to look somebody else in the eye and keep a straight face, so to speak. In this case, a straight face is when all their facial muscles are relaxed, and not twitching. The best liars can maintain eye contact while speaking right up to the point of lying, and then even they will have to look away briefly.

Calibration

This where you calibrate on an individual basis. This can be done with employees, spouses, children, anybody who you are in a relationship with that you fear may lie in the future. Just pay keen focus on any particular facial movements or body language they show when you are certain they are lying.

Naturally, this mean that you let a few lies slide, but this is a small price to pay for being able to read them like a book. Tells are unconscious body movements and facial tics that card players exhibit when they are bluffing. Once you have three or four “tells” collected, they’ll never be able to lie to you again without you knowing it.

Time management is the key to success. You need to look out six years and where would you like to be. Picture yourself in that situation and dwell on it for a minute, do not cut yourself short. Then go back to today, what do you need to do today to make this happen. Leadership skills are essential to make this happen. Write it down then it will become real. Do not make this your goal, promise yourself that you will do this. Where you have been does not matter, where you are going really matters.

Write down all of the things that you will achieve, this way you will stay focused on your goals. Do not dwell in the past or you will repeat it. As you make your list of goals, make two columns. The first one write down your big goals. The second one write down your small goals. Then number in order of priority. Then start with the big ones first, if you start with the little ones you will get bogged down in one and not get to the big ones. You will find that doing the big ones first the little ones are completed along the way.

Maintain a positive attitude at all times, take advantage of all opportunities focus on the job at hand. Get into a circle of influence and absorb there leadership skills. You need at least four people for this and you will gain the knowledge to become the middle of the circle. So the better leaders you pick the better leadership you will gain. Thereby learning how to reach your goals, to be able to keep the promise you made yourself.

As well as your local friends or circle of influence, now with the internet you can join a mastermind group. This is a great concept to draw leadership from. You can combine with some of the greatest leaders in the world and by doing so you will gain an unlimited amount of knowledge. Remember your future is where you will spend the rest of your life, one day at a time. Remember the good times of the past, learn from the bad times and move to the future. It is said if we dwell on the past that we are doomed to repeat it.

When following the path to prosperity do not get tied up in the little things, think big. You must believe in yourself and execute. Everything is entirely up to you, as you gain momentum do not hesitate, use it to the fullest. Keep your priorities in order and as your list gets shorter you will find that you can do more. There are few things for sure in this life but network marketing looks like it is one of the best ways to be successful.
