I am going to buy this because “I deserve it”. I have heard this so many times and usually buy someone who does not have the money for it. Just over borrow and go deeper in debt. You do not deserve it if you have not made the money to buy it. Deserve is directly related to the effort put forth.

If you will learn to be comfortable with yourself, you will become wealthy. If you want a new car and don’t have the money, you should ask yourself, why do you need a new car. If you justify that you need the new car, then you should go out and make enough money to buy it.

Sit down with pencil and paper and write it down. What is your goal, buy a new car, take a vacation or anything extra. Write it down and write down your current income. Then write down your expenses. Then compare this and see what you have to change to afford your goal.

If you are an employ you may need a raise or an extra job. If you have your own business you need to do more of it or add something new. Sometimes we get bogged down in our own self-pity and everything just seems like it will never work out. If this seems impossible you should look for an alternative. Write it down and it will help you to see where you need to go.
