Traffic Exchanges – Looking For A Free Way TO Advertise Your Site, Blog, Or Program?
By Ken Sammut
In this article, I will look at Traffic Exchanges (TE) so you can decide if they will be beneficial to you when it comes to advertising your websites, blogs, or affiliate programs. There are two main types of traffic exchanges – manual and auto. As I do not recommend auto TEs, my focus, in this article, will be on manual exchanges.
Traffic Exchange members surf other member’s sites in that particular TE. As they surf and view other member’s sites, they receive free credits. These free credits are applied to their approved sites in the TE. Each program offers their surfers a different reward system. Some programs offer 1/2 credit for each site viewed while others offer 1 credit for each site viewed. Many offer 50 to 500 free credits just for joining as a free member.
Not everyone has time to surf each day, so many TEs offer low cost credit packages. 1000s of credits for just a few dollars.
Many of the TEs are free to join but offer Pro level memberships. The Pro memberships are also fairly inexpensive and offer free monthly traffic credits, banner impressions, and text impressions. Some of the better programs also reward their Pro members with higher surfing ratios – 2 credits for each site surfed and a few offer 3 credits for each site surfed. Depending on your budget, it may make sense to become a Pro member.
TEs also offer solo ads to their membership as well as site of the day purchase. Site of the day is the first site each member views on that particular day. Both are worth the investment especially if you are promoting a network marketing or affiliate program.
A few TEs offer their Pro members a chance to earn a residual income by referring new members to that TE. They earn when their referrals purchase one of the Pro membership packages as well as when their referrals purchase any of the traffic credit, banner impressions, and text impression packages.
TEs have been around for more than 10 years. Some have memberships of over 100,000 so shop around. You want to find a TE that has an active membership so your sites will be viewed.
Whether you are branding, looking for additional traffic, trying to increase your sales, or building a downline in some of your favorite programs, you may want to consider joining a handful of traffic exchanges.
The author has 10 years of network marketing experience and uses Traffic Exchanges as one his marketing vehicles.
