Why Should I Use WordPress? OK, you took the plunge and decided to take your Network Marketing business online. Or maybe you have chosen to do Direct Sales. Now you wonder what all the hullabaloo is about setting up your own blog site. After all, my company provides me with a nice website, so why should I use WordPress, you wonder?

What’s wrong with my company site?

I know your company’s website is very professionally done, showcasing your cosmetics line, kitchenware or maybe nutritional supplements in an enticing way that you can’t. After all, you can’t afford to hire a professional photographer or a web designer to put it all together as beautifully as your company does. And further more, why the heck should you? You shouldn’t. The fact is that there is a need for the website your company provides. That’s how your customer chooses the exact shade and size or whether they want a one time buy or autoship. That’s where they checkout, where the money changes hands and the delivery details are made. The fact is, you don’t want to mess with that stuff. Your company website is great for the “back end” process. After the buying decision is made, but what about up to that point?

People buy from people, not companies.

There are exceptions to this, for instance the person that has used and been happy with your companies products in the past, but who sold them the products for the very first time? A person, not the company website buying experience created that initial loyalty. Your prospects need to get to know you before you can convert them into buyers.

People buy from those they know like and trust.

Plain and simple. You must build relationships in order for your business to grow, to build a downline or to get bookings. Be honest, when’s the last time you were surprised by a random order from a complete stranger or someone you’ve never heard of joined your team from your company website? I’m waiting…(*crickets*) yeah, that’s what I thought.

A blog will help you build relationships.

It will increase the “know, like and trust” factor. Your prospects will get to know you and feel a connection that would never happen from the company website. It’s a new ball game and if you are not doing relationship marketing you will strike out. You can build a list of prospects that you can market to though email, an ezine or newsletter from your blog. I guarantee you that’s what your successful competitors are doing. The competition is tough and if you can’t stand out from the crowd, well…

WordPress is simple enough that anyone can learn to use it.

So, now that you realize you’re gonna need a blog, I’m here to tell you that WordPress is the only way to go. OK, there are lots of other ways, but none that offers the ease and functionality of WordPress. Anyone can learn to set up and maintain a WordPress blog. With this blogging system you will be able to let your prospects get to know you, post your hostess/client testimonials, review products, spotlight dealer specials, post photos of your latest events or home parties, get your hostesses involved, create an online community and just about anything else you want to do with your business that your “clone” company website doesn’t do.

Your company website does have it’s place…

for instance, when it’s time to check out, process refunds or place a dealer order, but your WordPress blog will help you build the relationships that turn prospects into loyal customers.
